“Dig into Reading“ This Summer
Don’t fall behind this summer. “Dig into Reading” and join the Scottsdale Public Library’s Summer Reading program – May 30th-July 27th. It’s all new this year with super prizes and lots of exciting activities.

Stop in any of the Scottsdale libraries or visit the library website at www.scottsdalelibrary.org to sign up and get your reading log. Track your reading minutes online or use your “Dig into Reading” log. Pick up your prizes at the library. Finish the program, and you’ll win a book and a free meal at Chipotle!

You can also help your school win the Super School Summer Reading Trophy just by signing up. The school with the highest percentage of students enrolled will be the proud owner of a beautiful trophy and bragging rights for 2013! You know your school is the best, so sign up for summer reading and help prove it!

Don’t forget to tell your parents, because the Scottsdale Libraries have reading programs for babies, kids, teens and adults. Summer reading is for everyone.

TekLink Initiative Connecting Families, Schools, and Communities with Recycled, Refurbished Technology

Scottsdale Unified School District’s TekLink program refurbishes and reimages older District computers and other donated computers to distribute to families who have been selected by principals, community specialists and teachers. A cooperative communication within the learning community determines the number of computers to be distributed at each school. All District computers will remain the property of Scottsdale Unified School District. At the discretion of the Principal, donated computers will be distributed for one school year with a $20 deposit.

If you would like to like to donate your old laptops, computer towers or monitors to the TekLink program, please drop the item off at any school or the Education Center, 3811 N. 44th St., Phoenix 85018. TekLink can accept monitors, keyboards, mice and computers 2004 or newer. Older items will be ethically recycled. Donations are tax deductible.
